Since the creation Bocuse d’Or in 1987 by Paul Bocuse, seven French chefs won the prestigious competition and brought France to the first step of the podium. The seven of them are unanimous about the unbelievable experience and stepping stone the competition has been in their career.

François Adamski
François Adamski won Bocuse d’Or in 2001 and obtained the prestigious Meilleur Ouvrier de France title 6 years later. Following these major achievements he also won his first Michelin Star in 2009, as Chef at the Restaurant Gabriel in Bordeaux. François is now Corporate Chef at Servair.

Régis Marcon
His victory at Bocuse d’Or in 1995 brought immense recognition to Régis Marcon and his native village of Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid where he was operating the family restaurant. Throughout the years, Régis and his family developed the activities of this small village located in Haute-Loire, which has become a gastronomic and wellness destination. Régis is also very active in education and apprenticeship to support future generation of chefs.

Jacky Freon
Winner in 1987, Jacky Freon won the very first Bocuse d’Or competition. Following a rich career, alongside Joël Robuchon amongst others, he’s now retired but remains very engaged towards underprivileged and migrants, to whom cooking is offering a better and brighter future.
